Fighting the Cancer cassette:
Hmm, boring Sunday, a bit chill in here. So, listening to a tape I got recently handed over by the artist himself. The tape is limited to 22 copies, I think with the meaning (as this not being meant an 'official' release) more for the friends and allies sort of thing.
It starts out haunted, cold ambient, ominous as hell it gets a bit later when clouds of dark smoggy creepiness whirl around with a suffocating effect. Claustrophobic in nature, the music roars and whispers and throws spinal chills of horror through the bleakbackground atmosphere. Think of Aghast sorta atmospheres.
Further some tracks start to include vocals and percussion, all with an appropriate undercurrent reminiscent of an In Slaughter Natives,
Puissance, Ordo Equilibrio, Aghast nature. Vocals could be more reminding of Der Blutharsch, they do to me, so. Musicwise the background features and mixes neo-classic, apocalyptic and orchestral compositions, all woven through with a lot of negative howling organic sounds, that give a very haunting effect to say the least. Hear this at dark and experience the scary dreams and coldness that soon'll take over the atmopshere.
But the time did come and a sad desolate soul walks down the path of sorrow, dispair and extreme inner pain, tears and deep heartcutting melancholy drips down and the world looks dead, cold and abondoned, that's what the melodies of the music bring forth, truly magnificent, ominous and extremely bleak, one could spot very tiny parts (compositionwise) inspired on some of the old Ordo Equilibrio material, but certainly not to the extension to be a copy.
And it is in this field that the whole tape continues, vocal/percussion tracks and neo-classic, orchestral tainted ambient, or either deep melancholic and bleak. Here for yourself if you could still get a copy (but I doubt it). A whortwhile 10/10 for me.
